Hey everyone, my first post here! I used to have a few custom IOT appliances at home running off a raspberry pi with homebridge and some custom plugins i built so that I could use it with Siri, but I've slowly ported them to work with Alexa directly and now using Arduino IOT which is more stable and standard, plus I get voice control without having my phone nearby. My latest addition, a solar pool heater was built using Arduino IOT from the get go which is great as I can see the badass performance it has on a dashboard.
So far everything is great, except I have 2 ESP8266 running air conditioning units through IR, and I have no easy way of wiring them to Alexa. Ideally there should be variable types that Alexa can see as thermostats (at least, there should be more specific devices with more config than just the temperature but i can work it out if it's just a thermostat). Am I missing anything obvious?
It shouldn't be hard to implement.
