Feeback on latest 2.x IDE w/Win11

Thought I'd try the 2.x IDE again. Have a new Win11 desktop, 64Gb, 4 TB drives, 2 32" monitors, etc. I downloaded and installed the latest 2.x IDE and would not run without an internet connection whereas I.8x does. And the Serial Monitor should be separate. I could not set the baud rate whereas I can easily anytime with 1.8x. I did like the improved error reporting but that does not overcome the overall POS that 2.x is. I hate to say that but I've used dozens of IDEs over the years in more than a dozen languages and 2.x is the worst I have ever encountered. Shame too because of the amount of work that went into it. Maybe should start on 3.0 now?

That is to ensure that the latest versions of the built in libraries are installed

Whilst I agree with this, and it is on the list of requested enhancements, it is easily worked around by opening a second copy of the IDE and leaving its Serial monitor open

I am not aware that there was any improvement in this area

Have you deliberately ignored the many improvements in IDE 2.x such as the editor Quick Suggestions (aka IntelliSense ) ?

As I am sure that you know, the IDE is open source so please feel free to contribute to the project

The baud rate in serial monitor can easily be set in the dropdown, but it only appears when a serial device is actually connected.
