I am putting feelers out there as in April i plan to build the following robot:
This robot will be a skid steer 4 wheeled robot. each wheel will have a motor. I can wire everything needed for RC applications but I wanted to go to the next level. I wanted to control it with minimal latency over a 4G/5G network ultimately controlled with a ThrustMaster T.16000M FCS Joystick for fine incremental control. I can either use rasp pi or Arduino units, whichever is to your taste, just let me know. this will include server set up etc to get the final product completed. It will also need all joystick buttons to operate to control various motors, valves, operations etc in an ON/OFF / Toggle on/off fashion. Finally a USB camera/Gopro to be used as its eyes.
So in this ill need some software to run off of a laptop with a way to see what the camera is seeing real time, and control the robot via the joystick. Server set up for the devices to speak to each other and the software to be loaded onto the r-pi or Arduino for full function.
Let me know if this takes your interest and what we might be looking at in terms of hours and cost. Let me know if you need any more information.
Thanks!
