So it's like driving 2 24v relays (just not at the same time please), try searching for relay driver circuit (either here or google:relay driver circuit - Google Search) and start hunting for a 24v power supply.
It's worth learning, since the same style of circuit can drive a DC motor, stepper motor, etc. (as long as it can handle the current) Then it's no harder than blinking an LED or two.
