File upload to extra i2c EEPROM

My board must play a sound when it performs a function. Therefore i want to use a extra EEPROM and not a SD-card. The reason for that is not enough select lines for several SPI and thats used for the DAC that plays the sounds.

To load the EEPROM with a WAV file i need to use the USB. Has someone allready created such a application or are there allready applications to perform this?

Did you look here?

Yes i did. I know how to move data inside the Arduino enviroment. But the EEPROM needs to be loaded with outside data e.g. a sound snippet.

So your question doesn't really relate to the Arduino at all - you need to "cat" your sound file to your serial port on your PC, and receive and write it on the Arduino. May need some handshaking to ensure you don't miss anything.

Ah, I see. Sorry. Can you not create a sketch to read Serial data in, and write it out to the EEPROM.
