I have to select a project for fyp, which of course is a tough thing, i want some help from you, i am posting because 6 of my ideas were rejected and now i am sad too, so please suggest me some mind blowing projects.
I am good at programing in matlab, arduino, c lang, also am good in electronics.
while suggesting ideas please eleborate the approach as well which of course is the most important thing

the
1-quadcopter , reason, because its not a new tech now.
2-3dprinter, reason, because i was unable to use some new approach.
3-voice recognotion based whellchair, reason, because i cant use a prebuild algorithm and developing new is problem because i am not confident.
4-Android controlled home automation with arduino+bluetooth, reason, there is nothing new and implementing is tough.
5-density based traffic controll signal operation, reason, it's too much tough to implement in real life
Wow, 1 and 4 because it's not new, and 2,3,4, and 5 because it's too hard. That's not fair, because of course new things are difficult and the easy things have been done before! It's hard to find the sweet spot right in between.
Some kind of interesting desk clock? Based on some creative idea.

Grumpy_Mike, its the approach(the way) i have to implement the idea to solve the problem
When you have two coils fed in phase, the field from each coil reinforces in in places to give a bigger field and cancels in other places to give a smaller field.
If you change the phase relationship you change the place where these maxim and minim occur.
You might want to investigate a reader with a single receive coil and phased excitation coils to give a bigger field in front of the reader. This would then give you longer range. You might want to sweep the phase in the coils to sweep this maxima across the face of the reader to give you longer range over more area. Finally you might want to consider three or four excitation coils to improve the maxima.
You might look at the final year projects completed by other students and see what was unique to their projects that was accepted to get an idea for what was considered "new".
Presumably there is a formal description of what is required of Final Year Project. It would help if you post it as it may help to explain the reasons for rejection.
I wonder if it was the projects that were rejected or your specific approach to them ?
If you were free to choose what would you LIKE to do ? What interests you ?
