Firmware update failure using 1.6.10

I tried to upload the firmware but failed in the middle. It seems that the WiFi module is no longer work anymore. Attached is the error encounter during the upload. Please help. Thanks.

Error message

java.lang.Exception: Error while writing flash memory.
	at cc.arduino.plugins.wifi101.flashers.java.FlasherSerialClient.writeFlash(FlasherSerialClient.java:133)
	at cc.arduino.plugins.wifi101.flashers.java.JavaFlasher.updateFirmware(JavaFlasher.java:86)
	at cc.arduino.plugins.wifi101.UpdaterImpl$3.run(UpdaterImpl.java:134)

I was able to use the FirmwareUpdater to recover that. One thing I want to point out is that it does not work on my Mac, which is running El Capitan. At the end, I connected the MKR1000 to a Raspberry Pi3 and performed the update from there.

Same here, Windows fixed my MKR1000 wifi.

Hi @dvmrp, @tompesman,

There are some issues with OS X and the MKR1000's USB stack.

There's a pull request open to fix them, it would be great if you could try the following instructions to see if it's resolves then:

When you are done with testing, please remove the installed board manager build from the board manager and remove the new JSON url from your preferences.

Thanks.
