I did use eagle to design the board. Its interface is .. challenging, but I did eventually figure it out. Sparkfun has a great intro to eagle that I found helpful:

I had the boards made through BatchPCB.com. If you only want 1 or 2 small boards made, I found them pretty reasonable in terms of price. It took about 3 weeks for me to get my boards back, so if you need something really quick its not the best route.
