First Time GSM Dev Board

There are a lot of boards to chose from. I read a bunch of reviews, but they mostly focused on Adafruit Feather, Particle Electron, Arduino GPRS shield, and these type of name brand boards. Nothing wrong with that. The Electron looked like a good choice.

But, what about some of these no-name and clone boards? I am in Brazil and ordering any of the above mentioned boards will end up costing $200 or more in taxes and shipping. I cannot so quickly rule out these others from China.

I don't see any reviews for these types of boards:

Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge/experience with these types?

No one out there ever bought this Arduino shield? If that is possible, at all, there must be a reason. Is there a reason none of you ever bought this Arduino shield?
