first time post problems.

hi,

i'm trying to post to the Hardware/Interfacing sub forum and, no matter what i do. I keep getting this error:

An Error Has Occurred!

Error: Sorry, you are not allowed to post messages containing active links to websites or images before you have posted 1 normal messages.

While the first draft of the post did contain a link to an external website I've since editied it (a number of times) to not contain anything that could even remotely be parsed as a URL.

any suggestions?

It doesn't really matter, now, does it? You've posted a message without links. Now, you can post messages with links.

This is our obvious spam protection. Newcomers are expected to post some kind of "Hello dude" message to the forum before posting other things.

I hope you didn't get too bothered with it.
