First time with ESP8266 getting rst cause:4, boot mode:(3,6) when trying WiFi

It would probably work if you could connect a solid 3.3v source to the 3V3 pin.

There is a '3V pin' on the board.
A voltmeter there, or preferably an oscilloscope, would provide more information.
(The OP's sketch hasn't been posted.)

For the price of these things im just gonna buzz it and buy another one, already ordered

And when things don't whirr with a new unit either?
(Mystery.)

Ill order another, already ordered another 2 variations of NodeMCU also, im just passing time

So, you're hoping or something for a replacement to be a solution - otherwise it doesn't matter?

Found a tip on Reddit to add a 220μF capacitor between 3v3 and Ground, tried it and it worked

Yes, as long as the leads make contact with the pads.

(A voltmeter would have shown the 3V3 taking a dip.)

Obviously im not leaving it like that  it was just to test it, final circuit will be soldered.

这是非常好的 :slightly_smiling_face:
