either i am missing the right term, or google is hatin' on me: Why can't i find a website to buy floor mat switches like this in europe?

Thanks, I need a lot of them for an large permanent installation, so I rather buy "quality" products instead of tinkering it.

Now I found this, which is supposed to only work as switch without powering it additionally, that looks decent. Basicially it only needs to trigger as a switch.

Is there also one with lower current?

I think you are misunderstanding it. It is a switch. You could look for one with a low contact resistance if you want but it should not be a factor for you.
