Flow sensor test skwtch

needing some quick help. I have a water flow rate sensor, data sheets claim one set of pulses for each liter of fluid, seller claims another. My 130ml/min pump us show 230ml/min according to the set up i have. Ive been trying to find some sort of example sketch where i could just take my sensor, run a count of the pulses the sensor outputs while i dump a known amount of fluid through the system just to verify my settings. So far ive had no luck on finding any kind of example to do this and being a total n00b, ive no idea how to get that data.

any help in advance would be greatly appreciated.

Begin with a sketch that just counts the number of times a switch is pressed. Modify the sketch to replace the switch with your sensor.

simple, i like it. will try that when i get home from work.

Then if you get a bucket and place it high up and syphon water through the sensor .
Put a ruler in the in the bucket so you can count pulses and measure the water fall and calibrate your device.
Do it a various flow rates

i just hooked up a spare pump to pull water from a measured container and pump it at pressure through the sensor. if i did it just through gravity it didnt always flow high enough to register on the sensor since there is some gap around the rotor in the sensor (not thrilled about that discovery)
