I am working on a project with my kids. A self watering flower pot.
The project is going to 4 5v water pumps powered by a transistor switch (uln2803). Do I need a fly back diode for this set up?

The ULN2803 has built in free-wheel diodes, be sure to connect the COM pin to the motor supply so they are
active.
