for-loop incrementing to fade 7 leds on ws2812 strip at once

I have a strip of 7 leds. its ws2812. Im starting them on blue. Next I want them to do a slow fade into pink.

The first pixel will fade from blue to pink, then the 2nd pixel etc. But I need all 7 leds in my strip to fade insync from blue to pink.

How do I get all 7 leds to fade in sync from color to color?

FastLED 3.03, Arduino 1.0.6

    #include <FastLED.h>
    #define NUM_LEDS 7
    #define DATA_PIN 6
    #define BRIGHTNESS 45
    #define COLOR_ORDER GRB
    #define g 50
    #define b 100

    int r;

    CRGB leds[NUM_LEDS];

    void setup(){
    FastLED.addLeds<WS2812, DATA_PIN, GRB>(leds, NUM_LEDS);

     }
    void loop(){

      for(int x = 0; x < NUM_LEDS; x++){

      leds[x] = CRGB(r,g,b);
     }
      FastLED.show();
      delay(10);

      for(int x = 0; x < NUM_LEDS; x++){

      leds[x] = CRGB(r,g,b);

    //take r and fade it up to 254

    for(int r = 0; r < 254; r++) {

      }
      }
         FastLED.show();
     delay(100);

    }
