Force measuring kit

For my project i would like to create a measuring kit using an arduino.
The force measuring kit will be used to measure the forces and angels on a control stick of a small aircraft.
The force applied to the stick are low and suttle. i would like to visualise this data using an arduino, what equiment will do i need to create this kit?

Is this project intended to be installed in a plane flying, carrying people?

Bonded strain gages is probably the best solution for measuring force. Strain gages can be affixed to the stick to measure bending load. You will need an instrumentation amplifier and very stable power supply.

It's okay. There are angels on the stick.

The force applied to the stick are low and suttle.

To get this project started, measure the force required to move the stick with a suitable scale.

Remove the angels first, though

Hello,

Look of a HX711, this chip is able to convert force measured by strain gauges into Arduino data.
Credits to Bogdan Necula, who wrote a very good library to process the signals.

Best Regards,
Johi.
