I've been playing with the LTR390 and am struggling to find the correct formula to calculate the UV Index based on the readUVS parameter of the LTR390. I've seen a few things on the interwebs but none seem to be specific to this module or it's a different implementation an not on a arduino so the library files used are different.
Adafruit gives a very approximate formula for their version. UVI is not well defined and is intended only as a crude guideline.
Can you point me to this formula - what I see on adafruits page is just reading the UV raw data - - Arduino | Adafruit LTR390 UV Sensor | Adafruit Learning System
Formula contained in this link in infographic, code and video form:
The CircuitPython page has more info, including instructions for printing the UV Index.
The "protection amulet" page is interesting, and clearly has to be tongue-in-cheek.
Judging from the comments reproduced below, the amulet doesn't actually measure the UVI, but that was noticed only after everything was built. The Vishay document describing how to do so, mentioned in the VEML6075 datasheet, doesn't seem to be available.
Looks cool, though.
Mitxela.com likes to make painfully small widgets. I enjoy his animated narration of his videos.
