When an image is added, have it automatically resized (by default) to a more practical size i.e. 800 x 600. Most users don't have the time or experience to prepare their image.
It's just a tad difficult to "get the big picture" as we sometimes have to scroll through an image at a molecular level. An option to deselect or choose image auto-scaling could be easily be added.
Should save a bit of server space and bandwidth too.

Bandaid fix: I'm using firefox. Don't know how other browsers might behave. I click the thumbnail and get the REALLYBIIIG picture. I right-click on that, and select view image. It displays in a 'fit to window' mode, with a '+' mouse pointer that zooms in if necessary.
Hey anything is better than a thumbnail that -is- the full size image.
Yes this forum software does things that I've never seen any other forum software do, but I get what I pay for so I'm not disappointed or excessively annoyed.
Rather than Chrome? Can't say as I haven't tried Chrome - or in fact Opera; I tend to stick to the "traditional" browser though I must say, it is presently suffering badly from script hanging and what I suspect to be memory bloat and thrashing (yet again).

Unfortunately, it does not offer "View Image in tab". And when I do "copy image location", new tab and paste in the image location, it seems not to properly cache that tab with the image - if I switch back and forth (especially between multiple images) it has to reload the image on each switch.

I think we all agree this forum software is the most perverse we have experienced with all its "features", such as the "Broken" screen (perhaps the most accurate description of all). I have learned to patiently deal with this by using "Reload" and "Resend" as often as necessary. I suspect it may actually be doing some checking for malware or something since it mostly does this when I embed URLs.
Mind you - there is no URL in this reply and I got "Broken" at least once twice.
