The server upgrade took while! Hope this one lasts a while
Was there any reason, why users didn't get any warnings by email before the crash...oops, upgrade?
Cheers,
Kari
The PMs is still not working.
I first thought my cookie has gone bad on my home computer but soon realized that all my cookies went bad or the server went down. Is there any alternative sites that you go during this type of events? I have accounts on sparkfun and adafruit forums but didn't see anyone saying about arduino forum went down due to server upgrade. A warning in PM would be nice next time this happens.

I went and posted to the ElectroTech forums about it - a guy on there I know named Reloadron told me he saw something on Twitter, so I started searching there; sure enough, some back-and-forth between Massimo as well as @Arduinoteam gave the info about the whole SOPA/GoDaddy/upgrade thing. I first thought it might've been my system, but talking via twitter with a couple of others (including one guy in Spain who was asking on twitter about it - Google translate to the rescue!) showed I wasn't seeing things...
Just glad it's back!
/that, or I need a 12 step program...
I am not glad to say this, but as I am unemployed at the moment, I am little bit addicted to this forum.
There's so much information available that I find sometimes difficult to stop reading. While I was working, almost 8000 unread new topics arrived to my feed reader.
Three weeks has past now when I started to unload the stack, and only 2500 left now, my english reading is so slow.
But, when I read 1000, 300 new appears.
I would gladly see the forum down more often... so much on my to-do list, but...
Cheers,
Kari
I have to admit a certain degree of addiction to this forum as well. There's wealth of information you can read, interesting and exciting projects with videos, and always newbies begging for answers. I'm a teacher.
