Jackson is the highest level. There is a lot of information about these "membergroup" badges here:

Incorrect, There are 2 Levels above "Jackson"

  • Miss Jackson (yes i am for Real)
and then of course the highest level
  • Michael Jackson (At this level you have the power to Heal The World)

    ..... :microphone: Drop !!

Wrong.
The absolute pinnacle is Michael Jackson

This is not a joke! (Jackson) She is Shirley Ann Jackson -- FREng (born August 5, 1946) is an American physicist, and was the 18th president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is the first African-American woman to have earned a doctorate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics, and the first African-American woman to have earned a doctorate at MIT in any field. She is also the second African-American woman in the United States to earn a doctorate in physics.

Only 18 members of this Forum have been (so far) conferred this Title after S A Jackson in respect of their bivrant contributions.

That's What i Said , because Michael Jackson is the Pinnacle,
There is no higher
Although it was never anticipated for anyone to read this level so they hid the badge
from our eyes

Ohh is that where it gets it's name, Fair enough.

Well, it is a little, If you can't laugh in life and do some electronics what's the point of being alive.
Respect is duly given now that i know the origin, But cmon, you can't have a bit of a chuckle ?

also i think we can all agree that Michael Jackson is the highest level so Shirley can be Miss Jackson ok ?

@GolamMostafa
I retract my statement
i have deleted the posts as i don't imagine it will upset the continuity of the forum.

But.. i really saw that joke going different in my mind and i thought what a golden opportunity,
Ohh well

I'm now gonna go and research who Shirely Jackson is and was

Interesting, i thought most of them were names that Arduino staff just made up

They are all great people. Carl Sagan whom I admire a lot because of his enormous contribution in the field of Astronomy.

I think back in the 80s i remember reading his book "Contact" i think it was, Yeah i enjoyed it.
Although i have to ask...
Why did you not take my michael jackson joke as a joke ?
it was a cool joke and a beautiful opportunity for it and i'm kinda bummed that i had to take it down LOL

Mate i've been here for like a week ok and

  1. i made a comment on a post and it just totally got taken the wrong way
2, and now i made this joke and you took it personally

i just like to be here and have some fun but it seems not many are sharing my humour.
I'm treading carefully, but i'd rather i didn't, know what i mean.
so what happened there with Shirely Jackson ?

but back to this...

at school i always had a thing for Marie Curie , i Loved Einstein and his contribution to radioactive energy and atomic studies were amazing and thus Madam Curie fascinated me especially since you don't get that many women in science.

I also have a passion for Faraday, and Tesla.
i just find the whole electronics and electrical thing amazing

you are in the "Programming Questions" category. I think this whole thread needs to move to the bar....

This has already been done,

but still ignored.

I understand that , although in my opinion a comment here and there, what does it hurt ?
it keeps the human aspect in the conversation,
yes we are here for electronics but shouldn't we all also have some fun here and there ?

Ignored ???
No, being human and making a quick joke in conversation does not constitute me ignoring what happened before or forum rules.
it's not ignorance , it's ,me learning what you guys are like.

I'm the kind of person that doesn't mind a joke in passing, i would consider it a normal thing
and others have done so with me here.
once guy made fun of my business name and called it Bachman Turner overdrive,
Now call me crazy but.... i didn't flag him or give him crap over it
you know what ?
it's an obvious joke and it's fine

its not ignorance paul
it's just me being new and learning who i can and cannot muck around with, thats all

Call it a teething process
but seriously though, people here need to loosen up, in my opinion.
it'd be a nicer place if they did

lastly you say this needs to be moved to the bar
and... You know why ?
Because from a simple joke a big thing is made out of it which then results in like 5 comments following it and thus is worthy of bar sport
where if one would just take it as a joke it'd be 1 comment in passing

Food for thought ok
I like you mate, for the record, got no problem with you,
any fan of R2D2 is in my good books ok, i'd like to believe that things won't go sour, i'm just not yet sure how to take everyone so i'm neutral ok

But still ignored.

Yeah,
Mate i think i'm getting a bit better LOL, that sound firetruckin stupid doesn't it ?

But seriously, i reckon i've made a bit of progress and am getting a handle of this.

on this thread i figured out a way to get them back on track.
https://forum.arduino.cc/t/i-need-to-run-30-leds-and-make-them-breath/1154826/11

it occurred to me that it's not hard (it only takes like 3 comments) to go off topic.
but i figured a quick comment, a joke to lighten things up and then a direct mention
back on topic, and that seems to work, so i'll keep trying that

I said this because the original topic (Blink W/O delay with a TWIST) was about a PIR driven program but 143 posts later (and more that got moved) the topic had switched to everything but the original requirements ...

I felt this was confusing for anyone who would come later on through the search engine with a similar issue and would get lost in trying to get something out of the whole discussion...

So it's not about making a joke along the way, it's the way this thread turned out that prompted my remark.
