Reading very long threads the prominent indicator is potentially very handy. But it seems inaccurate, as shown in my screenshot.
Not only do the numbers get out of sync, but the last number is wrong. In this example I see there are actually 88 posts, not 85. So perhaps the inconsistency is due to slow updating?
Hi @Terrypin. The number you see on each post is an immutable post ID. The number you see on the topic scrollbar is the post count. The two are not equal in the case where posts have been deleted (which might be done by the post author, or by a moderator removing spam or inappropriate content).
So three posts were deleted from the topic you mentioned.
