fps gt-511c1r fingerprint scanner on hardware serial port

I have an fps gt-511c1r fingerprint scanner (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11792) and i am trying to use it with teensy 3.2. I am using the library that i have attached. As the library is written for arduino uno, it uses SoftwareSerial library. I want to use the hardware serial ports instead. How can i edit the fps library such that i can use it with the hardware serial ports on my teensy?

FPS_GT511C3.cpp (22.9 KB)

FPS_GT511C3.h (13.3 KB)

In general you would remove the definition of the SoftwareSerial object and replace all occurrences of its name with Serial1, Serial2, Serial3… whichever you want. Start by removing any lines that say “#include <SoftwareSerial.h>”. Then the compiler will complain for every line that you have not switched over.
