Hello All,
Proposed for your designing enjoyment is a 1958 Berns 'Air King' Window Fan model SQ20PB -
I would like to resurrect this wonderful fan but need help getting started - Any help would be greatly appreciated -
The placard says 2.0 Amps - the blades are 20" - all metal construction -
The original fan was a workhorse and is a 'sentimental' possession - hence the weird project.
The motor has since been 'lost' after disassembling years ago. I have enclosed a picture of the pushbuttons on the control panel - there was a capacitor at one point which could be found if needed.
The Challenge will be to:
- retrofit a fan motor into the frame ( diagram of bolt pattern also enclosed )
- Control the fan motor in the following operations
- Forward / Reverse
- High / Medium / Low
Wireless Remote control ( not infrared ) is also preferred -
Any Takers ?
I would very much appreciate any suggestions anyone could offer to get this fan back up and running the 'Arduino Way'
