So i have a fried an arduino, but im not sure if the Atmega chip is fried.
whenever i plug in my arduino in to my laptop, the overcurrent protector starts heating up rapidly, enough to burn my fingers after a couple of seconds, the little green LED next to the logo is lit up and the computer does not recognise that anything has been inseerted into the usb port, (tried every port i have)
this happened when i had connected the arduino cnc shield, motors and a 24v supply for the motors.
simmilar thing happened to my nano, however tha happened when nothing was connected to the nano.
i was looking through ways to destroy arduino to see which one did i use, but for the life of me i cant remember doing anything wrong
even tried following this instructable
but it did not help
all the arduino does is heating up at the overcurrent protector part, tried it with several laptops,
so i need to know what might be causing this, because i've ordered another arduino and am wondering if it wont just burnaway the first time i plug it in
