Fritzing: In PCB view can I remove Arduino and just use Atmega328?

I want to bring an Arduino UNO design onto PCB, for that I want to use the Atmega328 (SMD) IC. In Fritzing I get the IC based circuit diagram, but in PCB view I get an basically an UNO based PCB.

Is there a way to have the PCB design just being based on the Atmega328 IC in Fritzing?

You need to find the IC, not the the name. I believe in Fritzing, that the IC you want will not have Arduino or Atmel attached to it. It's a basic part and you have to input the amount of pins you want the IC to have.

I don't have Fritzing installed anymore so that is the best advice I can give.

yah you can. From "ic's" choose atmega 168,then place it....select 328 from "type" on the "properties" section
shown on the right side.

Actually I just started with Arduino/Fritzing and found his post to be helpful...
