Hi everyone,
I'm quite new to Arduino and I'm working on my first project. As part of the project I would like to get measures on the weight distribution of a person. I have some FSRs and I was wondering whether I could use these in the insoles of shoes to determine whether more weight was placed on the front or the back of the foot.
I've browsed through many forums and read instructions for FSRs so I know they are not optimal for weight applications due to their non-linear scaling, etc. However, I'm only interested in whether the FSRs are in theory able to distinguish between less force/more force in location A vs B., but not any specific weight measurements.
So:
-
Would this be doable with FSRs or should I rather opt for load sensors (e.g. 4pcs diy 50kg body load cell weight strain sensor resistance with hx711 ad module Sale - Banggood.com)
-
If yes, do I understand correctly that I can use low resistances in the circuit (e.g., 10 ohm) so that I can measure stronger forces? This would be essential since a person would be standing on them.
I hope the question is not too redundant, I really tried finding an answer to this
Thank you!
