FSR to Midi using Arduino

Hi

I am hoping to create a series of different FSR instruments to be used by people with severe physical disabilities to create and understand music.

I need to translate the force on a FSR into Midi data, to be put through either LogicPro or Ableton. I am hoping there is a way to do this with Arduino?

I have an interface that understands Midi (Focusrite Saffire6), with a midi in/out.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
(please note I am much more a musician than I am an electrician)

Thanks in advance.

This project generates MIDI signals by detecting reed switches closure, this is half your project:-

Replace the reading of the digital signal with the reading of the digital to analogue signal, and use that number to set the MIDI note number.

Thanks for the response.

Is there an Arduino board premade that does this, so I do not have to create my own pcb??

Is there an Arduino board premade that does this,

No.
But you can get shields like this:-

You're amazing, Thanks Mike.

At the risk of being a complete noob...which Arduino board will I need to go between this shield and my FSR?

Anything will do, I would use a UNO as it has (along with some others ) the form factor to fit that shield.
