FTP - I can get it to work over LAN - I want it over Wifi - I'm close - help!

I think the FTP code is relatively "squeaky clean". It has never failed me unless I try something I know will make it fail, like attempting to upload or download files that I do not have permission to read or write.

With the w5100, it doesn't fail the OP.

I can do the ethernet with my eyes closed now.

Which way is the transfer? If you are using "STOR", then it should be transferring from the SD to the FTP server. After you send the "STOR filename", you should wait for a response on the command channel (client), not the data channel (dclient). That seems to be where the "client issues" is being printed if nothing on the data channel. But there won't be anything received (inbound) on the data channel. The FTP server is waiting for the Arduino to send on the data channel.
...
You must evaluate the command channel response from the FTP server after sending either "STOR filename" or "RECV filename". The ability to log in to the server does not guarantee write or read permissions for every file in that directory.

...
Can you expand on the "command channel response" from FTP server bit, what would I be looking for?

Hi, I'm often unable to follow the latest developments in a discussion, so my comment may already be outdated.
I think Tim was referring to the portion of your code where you wait for dclient.available(). dclient is the client (arduino) on the data channel, which is the one sending the data. So nothing should be expected to come from the server on that channel, and available() should always return 0. The response from the server comes from the command channel and should be read by client. Are you already beyond that?

Hello Peter, Tim and Spatula,
Thanks for continuing to help. I'm a bit busy to have a look at this project for the moment, hopefully I can get back to it in a few days. I've had a scan of all the info you've provided, some interesting points amongst them, now I am dying to get back to it!

Catchya's,
R.
