FunkyClouds - Functions For LED Matrix Effects (some of them sound-reactive)

Is anybody here who has seen that mapping before? Somewhen somewhere?

Movement along a spiral path:

2D Texture Mapping

First try of simulating a LAVA lamp.

What about these psychedelic animation?

Liquid Magma

Tried to compile this file but same error keeps cropping up. I don't know what this means. Looked for 'asm' in the code and found none. What am I not doing correctly? Current FastLED.h file installed. Help please.

C:\Users\Mr. O\Desktop\Electronics Fun\arduino-1.0.6\libraries\FastLED/clockless_trinket.h:310: error: impossible constraint in 'asm'

Thank you.

Hi, which file did you try to compile? On wich processor? Did you select the right board?

An ATTiny with 512 Bytes RAM will no do the job.

Some of the stuff could run on an Uno, but I recommend an ATMega2560 or better an ARM processor for these kind of animations I show here.

Make sure, you have the latest version of FastLED (including all related files) installed. It is 3.0 at the moment.

Arduino IDE 1.0.6 is fine.

New matrix - new Video.

Filtered 16 bit Perlin noise in 3 layers at a 32x32 RGB matrix. 54 fps.

Driven by a Teensy 3.1 @ 96 MHz.

I just made a short commented video (my first one ever...) showing some development tools I am using.

i have seen these videos and these are marvelous, thanks for sharing this great thing.

Here you go:

The complete code and another video.

Have fun!

A video demonstrating animations based on only one noise layer:

A constrained noise reused as a dynamic mask. So the same noise with two differnt colormappings and differnt orientations + the mask showing you the first or the second set. Again, it is all based on the very same data...

And in the second part of the video a noise with coordinates, scaling and palette parameters filled with random values every second.

I made a new video of some kaleidoscope animations based on the noise.

I just combined it with old FunkyClouds functions I showed here already and more fortuitousness than ever. Enjoy!

The first part is based on mirroring, the second part (1:38) is based on rotating.

edit: A long version of the rotated kaleidoscope with a different parameter range.

New day - new animation. I think the most psychedelic one I´ve created so far.

Check out the Electric Mandala. ;D

My latest and most beautiful creation: Ultimate Mandala

A demostration of video- and colopalette crossfading.

Have a nice sunday!

Very similar but faster and with an additional palette rotation (and trippy music...).

X/Y wobble + bilinear filter

old an busted: using a simplex noise only for colors

new hotness: using a noise field to move and morph an animation

I wrote some smooth 16 bit transitions. Video here.
