FYI "Contribute & Download" did not download

  1. Clicked "Contribute & Download"
  2. On next screen, clicked "Get". I saw no other choice.
  3. On next screen, clicked "Open". I saw no other choice.
  4. IDE opened (online) but did not download.
    ----- Started over -----
  1. Clicked "Just Download"
  2. "arduino-1.8.19-windows.exe" downloaded

Hi @curmudgeon_too. Which page did you use as the entry to the IDE download sequence?

The reason I ask is because I remember some other people having troubles with this and it turned out there is some zombie "Software" page that is all messed up. Once people went to the page you get to from the "SOFTWARE" tab on the arduino.cc webpages, they found it was working correctly.

Not sure if Installation dowload issue with Kissing Google Campaing is one the the topics that you're referring to. But that was (and still is) solved.

I don't remember exactly. I am fairly certain the "Software" link was embedded in a tutorial I was reading. It was not a direct access from arduino.cc.
