I'm new to Arduino and interested in attempting my first DIY project.
I'd like to know what model board would support creating a USB adapter for the Apple Bandai Pippin controller.
The center of it has a trackball, which I believe it is similar to PC mouse. I think the port it connects into is called a mini din 4-pin female.
I would like to know the cheapest board that will support the controller functions.
Also, what board would support the most controllers (all types) at once?
Sorry if the question is a bit broad. Basically, I'd first like to create one adapter for this specific controller, then in the future possibly make one for 4 different types of controllers or more. Ex. Bally Astrocade, Commodore 64, Atari 2600, Coleco, even Playstation, etc.
I have a bunch of retro systems, which I've bought USB adapters for and they work fine (some better than others). However, I'd like to try to make one on my own. Also I cannot find any adapters for several systems.
Thanks much!
