I have onset Parkinsons disease. I no longer am able swing a PS4 controller back and forth with the precision that I once was able to. My question is if I were to solder an extra thumbstick using only the 3 wires of the trim pot (10k ohm) x-axis (back and forth), would that work? I know that theoretically it would eliminate the y-axis, which is where my problem lies. Is there anything else that would need to be done in order to accomplish the goal? And yes, I understand that it is technically cheating, however, I'm not playing in any cash games or trying to be the greatest player on the planet. I would just like to be able to play with my friends at somewhat a competetive level.
