First off I'll say one of the biggest reasons I'm thinking about getting a Arduino board is that I would really like to add LED light effects to my motorcyle, the Knight Rider routine among others. They sell control boxes commercially that can do this but they can be upwards of $80. I've looked and looked and I can't see anywhere that says if I can run the board and program independantly on my motorcycle. Can I do that with Arduino? Or is there a easy way to transfer over the sketch to a chip that I can mount on my bike? Thanks in advance
Either way. You can load your sketch in the board on your USB equiped PC and then move the whole board to your cycle and power the board from your 12vdc system through the external power connector. Or you can remove a programed chip from your board and mount it into another board left mounted in your bike.
