General Motor Driver Output Voltage Question

Dear Arduino Forum,

I am planning on purchasing a Pololu Dual MC33926 Motor Driver. It is described as having a wide operating voltage range of 5V to 28V.

This is the specification sheet: In this operating range, can one also supply lower voltages through pmw? or is the lowest 5V?

Also with pmw to lower supplied voltage, does this cause a component to heat up more or less?

Thank you for your help and time

That is the INPUT voltage range. There's no PWM on the input voltage, it must be DC.

The OUTPUT to the motors is controlled by PWM and if the PW is zero then the output will be zero.
