I follow what you are saying. So, with the cheap grade imu i am using....driving in normal traffic about 13-15 deg pitch on normal acceleration to say 50 mph. I can get into the 25 deg range when braking but depends on how hard the brake is applied as you can imagine.
integrating a higher quality sensor is not a problem depending on how high of cost we are talking.
Ideally if i could keep the cost sub $100 for the sensor, and keep the acceleration effect down to say a +-5 degree error due to acceleration and cornering then it may still work for my application.
The important data collection for me is at slow speeds (under 5 mph) and for that the current setup works generally ok but could be better. I assume a better mems unit would help that as well.
What type of sensor should I probably look into based on this application, if you dont mind me asking?
