Just wondering why the general section now seems like a "catch all" ?
Many of the items look like they would be a good fit elsewhere in more specific areas.
They are just a few of MANY !
That was inevitable. With an “Uncategorized” section that doesn’t accept posts that posters are too lazy to categorize, the “General Discussion” category is the go to place.

I don't visit that section too much so myself and probably others may not even see those posts.
Clearly it is in need of a darned good clean up.
I would flag them but one of the mods has speshul meenins an I mite end up wiv a ban !

may be it needs an adoption of the description of the "General Discussion" to exclude topics which are covered by other categories anyway?

might be misleading if you want TOs to post their programming questions in programming.

Would suggest the title be changed to at least help avoid the "catch all" situation.
Maybe something like "General Community Discussion" and a sticky to explain its usage.
Seems like the soap contains hair remover…..
