Hello, Currently trying to supply a 0-40 ohm signal for a specific sensor I have. I looked into digital potentiometers and it looks as if they are all much high resistance (5k,10k...). I also was thinking maybe varying a PWM signal to achieve small resistances? Any ideas?

That requires measuring voltage and current.
"signal" could be DC, or not.
