Gesture controlling with HC - SR04

Hello Community

I would like to program a gesture controlling (left and right) with the arduino Nano and two HC - SR04 Sensors.
But i have only seen programs with a virutal keyboard so far. So my question is, is it possibile to program this without a virutal keyboard?

Maybe someone has a code.

I am not clear what you mean by "virtual keyboard" in this context.

In principle you could read both sensors repeatedly and determine whether an object was getting closer to one and further from the other but those devices may not provide enough accuracy or fast enough response.
