Get data from sound sensor!!!

Hi..I am new at the wolrd of Arduino and i would like some help.

I've got a sound sensor and a sensor shield for the arduino.Now i want to light up a led when the sensor senses sound.How can i do this?

How can i know which is the sensor pin that i chose as i pluged the sensor on the left side of the sensor shield at the analog-inputs?

Also how can i get data from it?Using analogRead() ??

Please answer as soon as possible..Thanks for help in advance!!!

Someone pls help here!!! I just want to play with my sensors and i cant find out what to do.. I tried to search the web but didnt fine sth.Please help.

That link you posted has the code to use so I am puzzled at what you want to know. There are three connections to the board. Power ground and output. Wire power to +5 ground to ground and the output to analogue input 2.
