Recently I have been plagued with forum notifications in my email inbox. These are "new topics" that have nothing to do with me, and I don't want to know about them. The same stuff comes up on the forum when I click the avatar button.
I guess I have done something stupid by accident and it's driving me nuts.
How do i get rid of this junk?
Click on avatar in top right, click person icon, click preferences. Email drop down, select never on the options

I think I might know where the real problem lies. Right now I'm happy to say "never" to everything but I see one bit that says
"or when there is new activity in my watched categories, tags or topics"
I don't mind getting email notification of activity on threads I have actually participated in but maybe I have declared my hand in "watched categories" when I shouldn't have. Do you know anything about that?

Is there any way to do this en masse? That is to say, maybe dozens of posts at a time?

Come off it, it's only 24 days old. You must be very very young to think that is old. Or maybe you are a Linux programmer.
