I love how he compares code to poetry.. I just don't get why all these geniuses feel the need to get a PhD... They already appear to be experts.. why waste time on titles? Go out and make a difference!

They do not go for the titles per se, it is that a good education shows you many aspects of the profession that you would not encounter when you "just would be genius".

Very interesting. In fact programming is writing in a language so why not write elegantly? If I am doing a project for others, I often find myself translating human language into computer language, and for a decent pay.
