Getting Started with Arduino MOSFET

Hi folks,
One of the tutorials in the GSwA book uses a MOSFET as a switch for a DC motor circuit. Can someone please help me determine what sort of MOSFET I require for this?

regards,
Andrew.

You can use any sort of "Logic level FET", that is a FET that turns on fully with a 5V signal. Many FETs require 10 or 12V to turn them on.
A good common logic level FET is the IRF634, it is good for currents up to 8A.
