I am wanting to Start learning the Arduino but need some guidance.

I have some minimal experience using a Pickit 3, I know that I needed the programmer and the development board, but have no idea what I need to get for the Arduino.

Could someone kindly directly as to what hardware in terms of programmers and development boards I need.

For the commonest Arduinos (Arduini?), like the Uno, you don't need a programmer, just a development PC to host the IDE and a USB cable.
