Getting switches to trigger LEDs

So for my university project I have been hacking into a guitar hero case and I first of all want to test these triggers to see if it works with LEDs. Can anyone help on how I would be able to do this? Thank you, below is a picture of the switches and the wiring.

The first thing to do would be to get a multimeter..preferably with an audible continuity testing function. This way, you'll be able to see which leads of the wire hook up with which leads in the switch.
From there, you just need to arrange the LEDs so that the switch completes the circuit. You don't even need an Arduino, as far as I can tell.

The fret buttons and fret switch are all just NO switches, and the whammy bar is a potentiometer. Just shoot ground to common, and install a 1k resistor in series with an LED to 9v using a standard battery. As bd mentioned, there is no need for an Arduino
