I had the same issue as OP (error code 2, touch not working), but the suggestion to change the device address from BA_BB to 28_29 actually solved the problem on my Giga/Giga Display combination.
Is there anything else I could/should learn from this result?
The reason for asking is that (apart from touch input now is working) I cannot get anything to show up on the display. The backlight can be adjusted, but I haven't been able to light up a single pixel.
Trying to understand if I have a SW or HW issue.
