GKOS keypad for Arduino

Too right. I want specs that let variable amounts of light through and are screens and ultra wide band radar detecting what's happening in the real world for decent augmented reality gaming.

What you really want is made by this company:

Expect to mortgage the house for it, though...

I am not sure -why- you want radar, though, for augmented reality - cameras with wide-angle lenses (and some software) would work far better, I would think (and would be cheaper to implement), in order to overlay the real-world with AR information.

What we really need are real-time multi-sensor wireless 3D technology, capable of tracking hundreds of sensors - indoors. This would allow you to take the HMDs above (in a ruggedized form, likely), add sensors that could be strapped on, and build an "augmented reality" form of indoor "paintball" - where each player, from other player's points-of-view, would be rendered as whatever character they want, "guns" would shoot whatever you wanted (laser cannon, no problem), all the graphical effects possible in 3D shooters would be available, you could be in an indoor "real" environment (even multi-level), with interesting computer generated graphics overlayed to simulate whatever "game enviroment" you wanted. Capture the flag, team games, all kinds of stuff would be possible. It would be a 21st century form of laser tag.

The 3D sensor issue is holding things back, though - it would need to be able to track each person as an entity in the 3D environment, in real-time, with many players playing at once (say 10-25 players). I don't know of any system that can do it, cheaply, and in such a manner that the sensors can either be ruggedized or easily and inexpensively replaced (because all this equipment -will- be trashed in time).

Someday, though...
