GLCD salvaged from an HP Laserjet 2420 printer

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to found some info about a graphic LCD I salvaged from a HP LaserJet 2420 printer but all the info I find seems to be related to a LCD that uses the SED1520 controller, that has 16 pins, but mine has 28 pins + 2 backlight pins! Probably it's not the LCD controller I need to know about...

The LCD is connected to a PCB (printer control panel) that has the code S-12232C written on it, and that lead me to the following datasheet:

I'm getting very confuse around this, can anyone help me to find what LCD and controller I have?

Thanks

You are pretty much faced with a custom LCD, it's quite usual for HP to order these LCD's for that single application.

I would not use time to reverse engineer a single display - if you got a lot, then it would be wise to figure it out, otherwise not.

I guess if I can't find much information about a component, chances are that it's better to discard it and search something more usable.

Thanks Zapro!
