GNU/linux users permissions

I just bought the arduino uno starter pack and found a few issues…
however, I’m here to share a quick fix with permissions.

I’m able to open multiple versions at a time, and found that a new release wasn’t allowing my local user permissions to write to the uno.
so, whip out e-term and change your permissions with this simple line you should’ve learned on your first day.

sudo chown :username /dev/ttyUSB0

location may vary, depending on your error, but that should be it.
images are both versions open, while the older version was able to write, the newest version wasn’t…this is weird, but i knew what happened since i was two separate users on each session. So i just opened up a roots shell and fixed it within a few seconds.

this is a reference post, if you need help, pm me.
