Which arduino (or arduino type board) would everyone recommend to a beginner. I have some experience in electricy but not a lot in boards and all, although I should have little trouble soldering together a board from a kit. I plan on building smaller things with it and tinkering around with random things I think of as I go. Also I'll probably be wanting to adapt it to some of my rc cars and make some fun stuff with that.
So I'm not sure which one I will want to go along with having a cheapest is best price. Also where is the best place to buy?
The stock standard Arduino Duemilanove is probably the best for a newcomer. Once you understand how to use that, you'll be in a better position to decide what features you want and don't need, to consider alternative boards, or to wire your own board from scratch.
That's what I'm thinking, just needed a second opinion. I download some book about Arduino and that's the one they were using in all of their examples.
Now the next best question is where is a good reliable place to buy from in the USA?
