USB camera-scopes are a little more manageable.
I have to say, this topic did not deliverer anything but a whole lot of fail... none of this classifies as a good deal... just a random collection of stuff to buy...
Actually, the price on the microscope looks decent. Looking around the AMScopes site, their 20 grand AFM looks decent as well. I'm in the market for one of those.

20k for a microscope that takes up half the size of your desk.... pass.

I find it fine so long as i discard the mount that comes with it and build a more substantial one.
Mine is a steel bridge type construction for a pcb drill with a throat depth of 9 in .
Works as a drill , inspection and assembly platform.
The prototype was origonaly built in 1/2 mdf box section and that works quite well also.
